Does anyone know what the difference in suspension is between a non hicas car and a hicas car. I know some suspension companies offer struts that say they are for the non hicas suspension and when i had tried to have a shop put on koni adjustable on my car the rears would not fit(i have a hicas car). Does anyone know any differences?

The HICAS model has slightly higher rate springs than stock and stiffer dampers per the FSM, but nothing drastic.

There should be no reason why the Koni's don't fit - I put AGX on mine in the rear and there is no interference at all. Unless the Koni rear is huge (which I doubt) there is no way the HICAS toe link will get in the way. If your shop is just looking in the catalog and seeing (excludes HICAS model w. elec suspension) that's an old confusing typo, parts companies were assuming every Nissan with HICAS had an electric suspension like the Q45, which isn't the case.

Yeah, I can cofirm that normal AGX's will fit Hicas models. Hicas models came with slightly stiffer, slightly shorter springs than the other models. Really, the biggest difference in the Hicas suspension is the 21mm rear roll bar, which is significantly bigger than the other models.

You should have no problem putting any shocks onto a Hicas model. In fact, the factory service manual lists the same shocks for all models.
