I've been dealing with a power steering problem since I bought my car ('92 RS13). The car came with not-so-Super HICAS, which has been nothing but a PITA. The rear power steering lines began to leak, causing me to have to refill the reservoir every few weeks. Once I swapped a red top SR in, the power steering pump did not fit on the new engine. I previously had plans to get rid of the HICAS, and I already have the Kazama Auto HICAS stopper.I also have the SR p/s pump (2 wheel) which came with the engine. The reason I'm stuck now is because I've been trying to look at all of the possibilities regarding how to swap the pumps.1. How would I bypass the HICAS solenoid (passenger side lower engine bay)?2. Would I need a new reservoir?
I can figure out how to connect the lines myself, but I'm trying to find a way to do this on the cheap, which means $400 DOHC lines are out of the question.
Someone?
Help?? : :
I've got a few ideas, but nothing steady.
Thanks!
