alright, so i've got super hicas in my car. rather, i had it. i've replaced the rear subframe with a non hicas subframe but i've still got all the lines for it. anyway, there's an extra hose coming out of my ps pump that goes to the control unit for super hicas. the sr that i have has a non hicas pump. is there anyway i can put the US hicas pump onto the sr mounting bracket and just use that? or would it just be cheaper to remove all the hicas lines and crap and get some normal people steering lines? and if so, would it be safe to remove the control unit in the rear passenger side wall or does that run other stuff?

You can fit the US pump onto the SR bracket with a bit of grinding, but you would have to reroute/clamp the rear lines or you'll have no power steering at all. You would also have to find a way to take care of the HICAS solenoid in the lower passenger side of the engine bay. FRsport carries SOHC -> DOHC swap power steering lines if you want to use the SR power steering pump ($300!).
The easiest (and cheapest) solution seems to be to replace the HICAS pump -> solenoid line's banjo bolt with a regular bolt to seal it, and get rid of all of the HICAS hardware. I found that the HICAS pump fits onto the bracket by filing/grinding down some of the pump mount.

i just noticed someone replied a month ago! haha. ne way, i removed everything and used the sr's power steering pump. i still haven't removed the computer in the passenger side wall in the back seat but i might have to hop on that. otherwise, i had to get the non hicas powersteering fluid reservoir and that was a pain in the *** to find but soon as i found that it was like i never had hicas at all, except for the little light in the dash. haha thanks for the input tho
