Yeah, but all of the parts and labor without the hassle sounds real nice.

You can get a Tomei long block for that price.

and youll need the EDM 4 port runners for that head (or build an ITB intake from scratch... also doable)

Not like I can afford it, but where can you get a Tomei Genesis Stage III CA longblock? They officially dropped it over a year ago (as per from my source that retails Tomei stuff here in the US).

Not to be rude, but even that assumption that Tomei engine is close to that price is WAY off.

Phase 3: (Which, IIRC is not 2l): $7,354.99 Phase 4: $9,518.60

I really don't see how it can be worth that much.

did you guys bother to read that it costs more for the 2.0L stroke kit and requires another engine.

Forged stuff is expensive, but it doesn't fold up under high HP boost. HP costs money guys. The more you want the more you pay, especially if you want lots of HP in a small package like that. I mean, you could get a Chevy LS1 crate motor for around $4500 and have 320hp at the crank N/A, but it might be a bit harder to fit under the hood.

LOL, I'm pretty sure we're all well aware of forged goodness and its necessity for those power levels. And of course the price tag associated with it. The topic was started more on the basis of the obscurity of the motor. This type of stuff never pops up for sale.

For around $6000, I would let this thing go and it's a bit more built than the ones you guys are referring to. I've read what the contents of the motor on ebay are and it's just not worth the money they are asking. Unfortunately, I built this engine for a reason and will not sell it unless i really needed money; and that area I'm doing okay in, so this puppy has a date with a 1989 Nissan sentra as soon as the white sentra's goals get accomplished.

I only payed roughly 2k with parts and labour to have my motor rebuilt, balance, 3 angle valve job, blah blah blah and a copper headgasket and wiseco forged pistons. the only thing i don't have are the rods and that wouldn't even put me in the 4k range.
