The going rate this year for a 30 second spot is $2.8 - 3 million!!! As of right now, all of the major car companies, except for Toyota and Nissan, have signed up. Call me crazy but I think that's just freaking ridiculous. Love football, hate the commercial hype. Seriously, what new innovation could they put in place for that amount of money? If nothing else, donate it to a charity like the Boys and Girls club, the Salvation Army, the D.A.R.E.program, something constructive. Sorry, /rant.

Discuss.

Too much, well, unless it's your team playing, and you can write off the ticket costs to your business....

That's a lot of money to spend on a game that most of the time isn't worth watching.

Too much..

I usually like the beer commercials. The one with the horse farting in front of the candle on the carriage, and blows the girls hair back while the guy grabs a Bud Light still makes me giggle.

The ones I hate are where 2+2=22. Like Godzilla will be destroying Japan with fire and it will be a commercial for Clorox bleach :tisk:

I'd like to go at least once, just for the experience. I've been to enough live games to know that the game coverage is much better at home, in front of your own TV. I like watching the replays, listening to the commentators, going to the bathroom without standing in line, and not having to pay $7+ for a bottle of beer.

There's nothing proactive about the D.A.R.E. program...

My favorite all time is the 2 sec high life commercial

And I don't understand the hype about the superbowl, the BCS national championship is more interesting to watch
