I was looking through ebay and I found a supercharger for the nissan Xterra it also has the same engine the QX4 has from 97-00. I was wondering would this fit. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

i wish someone could do this to their q/pathy, it seems like an awesome upgrade, it just sucks that you have to use premium, and Ive heard it cuts engine life

Yes it will fit... sort of. You have to do some modification where it bolts up ontop (I believe they are larger on the Xterra/Frontier), plus a number of electrical things are different. Oh & you'd need a new front pully system (yyou can find those on ebay or amazon) for a SC Xterra/Frontier & also the ECU. I think thats it. I had one from an X & had thought about doing this for a couple of months but sold it, eventually deciding to go to the Nissan TD27ETi when I graduate college & finally have some time to do a real engine swap (as apposed to a weekend job like I did this past year)

This is a SC'ed R50 (Navara but the same thing just a different name & country) that used a pontiac SC:[/quote]

In all honesty it would be easier if you just bought a complete SC'ed VG33E (210 hp) ECU & all or if you got a VQ35DE (250 hp)

Premium gas cuts engine life? I'm sorry if I read that wrong, I just woke up. hehe

Do i have to do any modifications for the 3.5 swap. There is a junk yard close to where I live that is parting out a 2002 qx4 and the engine is being sold for $500.

I believe he was referring to the fact that the supercharger decreases engine life. It seems to me that I've heard the same thing.

You'd need the transmission as well (go from a VG to a VQ). I don't know if the motor mounts are the same but I would assume they are, plus worst come to worst you could always fab up some motor mounts

I think the trannies are the same basic transmission but with a very different transmission control unit.

I would definitely do a 3.5 swap before the VG33er supercharged swap
