Hey all, I have an 01 Pathfinder. Long story short. Battery was really low and wouldn't start the truck. So I put a charger on the battery and got it to where I had enough power to start it. All of the sudden my sunroof decides to open up and I can't stop it, resulting in 6 inches of wet heavy soggy snow coming into my truck. I tried turning the truck off, mashing all the switches, grabbing the sunroof, and nothing, I could not get it to stop. Now, the sunroof won't close, yet the fuses seem to be fine. I'm pretty sure my headliner is ruined as snow it melting above the ceiling now and dripping down the sides. Has this happened to anyone else? What a pain! Everything is wet! I had to drive it to the dealership with cardboard covering the hole. Luckily, I have a warranty that should cover it. I've never hated anything as much as I hate my truck right now. There's water EVERYWHERE! Why would it betray me like that? LOL! Some cars seem to have a manual sunroof mechanism to reel the sunroof back closed, but I couldn't find anything like that on my Pathfinder. The dealership said sometimes they lose their programming when the battery goes dead. Well it's been dead before to the point where I can't even disarm my alarm, and it didn't open up like that. I guess if I were programming a sunroof module the last thing I would want it to do after losing power is open. Once they get it fixed, I think I'll just pull the fuse for the power windows/sunroof that way it doesn't happen again.

LOL! I've got one I can put in there. It had been sitting for 4 days in the cold, so I expected the battery to be weak. The last dealership it was at they kind of pooched it. They let it sit for 2 weeks, meanwhile telling me they've been driving it EVERY DAY, troubleshooting a transmission issue. That must have been why the guy was surprised to see me when I came in there on the 2 and a half week mark and said give me my keys, I'm leaving. Little did I know I'd come out to a completely dead battery. I almost couldn't jump it. However, the sunroof didn't open then. Like I said, the battery was charged enough to turn the car over a few times, but not fast enough to start it. It didn't forget my radio presets, or temp settings. Headlights still turned on at full blast too. Would a battery cause the sunroof to just randomly open and get stuck open? I hate cars so much! What I wouldn't give to be able to just walk to work, and pull my boat by hand to the boat launch. LOL! It's not even just this car, this sort of stuff happens to me with all of my cars. Maybe I just buy them too old. Alright, I'll end my rant here.
