Hey all, I have an 01 Pathfinder. Long story short. Battery was really low and wouldn't start the truck. So I put a charger on the battery and got it to where I had enough power to start it. All of the sudden my sunroof decides to open up and I can't stop it, resulting in 6 inches of wet heavy soggy snow coming into my truck. I tried turning the truck off, mashing all the switches, grabbing the sunroof, and nothing, I could not get it to stop. Now, the sunroof won't close, yet the fuses seem to be fine. I'm pretty sure my headliner is ruined as snow it melting above the ceiling now and dripping down the sides. Has this happened to anyone else? What a pain! Everything is wet! I had to drive it to the dealership with cardboard covering the hole. Luckily, I have a warranty that should cover it. I've never hated anything as much as I hate my truck right now. There's water EVERYWHERE! Why would it betray me like that? LOL! Some cars seem to have a manual sunroof mechanism to reel the sunroof back closed, but I couldn't find anything like that on my Pathfinder. The dealership said sometimes they lose their programming when the battery goes dead. Well it's been dead before to the point where I can't even disarm my alarm, and it didn't open up like that. I guess if I were programming a sunroof module the last thing I would want it to do after losing power is open. Once they get it fixed, I think I'll just pull the fuse for the power windows/sunroof that way it doesn't happen again.
