Hello Forum. I wanted to ask whether you might have any ideas on why the sunroof open/close switch will only move the window about 2 inches and then stops. I've read the Owner's Manual and it appears I am operating it correctly. Thanks CTC.

Welcome to NICOclub! Thanks for visiting the Armada/QX56 Forum!

I have had that issue happen on a few of my Infiniti/Nissan models. Every time I have had that happen, it went away as quickly and mysteriously as the issue had started. I know when it happened on my '08 Armada a week or so ago, it was right after I had the battery disconnected for a while because I was doing a mod. When I started it up the roof would only move 2" at a time, I ran to the store and then back to work. I forgot about the issue, then drove home, and when I was pulling in my driveway I remembered to try it again and all of a sudden it worked. If your roof doesn't "cure itself" I would suggest disconnecting the battery for a bit and then reconnecting and driving for a bit. Keep in mind if you disconnect the battery you will have to reprogram your radio and memory seats (if you have them). Good luck to you!

Try this, it works great:

MEMORY RESET PROCEDURE

If the battery is disconnected, or the sunroof motor harness connector is disconnected, the slide switch will become inoperable and the sunroof motor memory must be reset. To reset the sunroof motor memory from any sunroof position (full open, partially open, closed, partially vented, and vented), push and hold the sunroof tilt switch in the forward (DOWN) position until the sunroof is fully closed. After it has closed all the way, push and hold the tilt switch forward (DOWN) for more than 2 seconds to re-establish the motor preset position. The sunroof should then operate normally.
