I am 6'3" and always had difficulty buying cars with adequate head room. Sunroofs tend to drop the roofline several inches making matters worse. All my past cars including my M35 did not have the option of NO sunroof. I wish manufacturers would give that option more serious thought.
The M was of the few cars that has great headroom even with the sunroof. I was having my car serviced today and there was a beautiful black G37 coupe in the showroom. I tried every seat angle and still my head would hit the roofline.Sunroof or NO Sunroof?

I agree 100%. Although I'm only 6'1" I have a tall torso and when car shopping the #1 thing I look at is headroom. I find most sedans and coupes w/ sunroof just don't offer sufficient headroom for me. Unfortunately, this eliminates the majority of cars I look at.
Adequate headroom is one of the reasons I was attracted to the M in the first place. Once I drove one I was sold on the whole package but finding a comfortable driving position topped my list. It gives me the best of both worlds, a sunroof and headroom.
I would gladly give up a sunroof to expand the selection of cars when I car shop but in the high end especially, a sunroof is almost universally std. equip.

I agree. You can't find anything posing as a luxury car without a sunroof now. The only two I fit in are the M and the Genesis. My M was my first sunroof. I didn't think I'd care for but now that I have one I do like it. Still would be nice to have it as a separate option.
