Recently had my Altima's car battery completely discharged and had to jump start it. Since then my sunroof has been stuck in the tilt position as the motor reset procedure of "hold the button up/forward until the roof is in the complete up position" is failing to work. After about 15 to 20 seconds the two guides along the sides of the roof move forward about 1/4 inch, then back and that's all that happens.

Stopped in at Nissan this afternoon and the technician's manual said the same thing as the driver's, no additional troubleshooting. I don't want them to have to take the sunroof out and then toy around with the motor. I tried unplugging the motor and plugging it back in to its power source, but that didn't reset it either. The motor's reset switch is failing for some reason.

Does anyone have another solution that I might try?
