sunroof issues

i need some help on a sunroof problem,1992 q45 it will retrack only if i get out the car and push down the back and help it along and when closing i have to help it forward were should i look to solve this problem so it will work on its own. thank you showstopper.....

Try a search on sunroof.

Have you been cleaning and lubricating the rails?

It sounds like the motor is weakening.

Sounds like the clutch is slipping and burned due to extra resistance beyond design limits...........not clean and properly lubricated.
