So you were trying to open the roof completely up, all it would do is tilt the back of the glass panel down and not move back to expose the sky, right?DetroitJazzMan wrote:wanting to enjoy the sunshine today pushed the sunroof switch and all it will do is tilt and not slide. can anyone suggest where I should start to diagnose this problem??? thanks Jazz
I will have to take a look. My 01 drops down in the back, they slides into the roof. Not to be dissrespectful as I am not familiar with the 02, but are you sure you are using the right switch. On mine, one opens the suroof, like for venting (rear of glass up and down only) and one completely opens the roof (glass down and back as well as forward and up to close).DetroitJazzMan wrote:correct. it will filp up at the back, however, will not slide open
Mines an 00 and I have two switches as well. Didnt know 5th gen and 5.5 gen were that different (other than the engine of course)Mike G wrote:

Yeah ya'll are pretty different. My mom had a 5th gen and hers auto opened by pressing a button but you had to hold it to close. With the 5.5 gen, it's just a slider switch and you put the switch wherever you want the sunroof to be (all the way back, closed, etc.). So basically we have an auto open and close sunroofacidjake75 wrote:
