The only thing that could possibly be causing the problem, besides that stow-away hiding in your hatch closing the sunroof when you're not looking, is the latch itself. Either it is noticeably broken or somehow loose/worn/etc.
If you can't find a way to solve the problem by fooling with the latch...meaning you need to replace it...try looking in a salvage yard or, gasp, try the dealer.
Consider cutting a wooden dowel about 3" long; jam that sucker right into the sunroof opening. Easy. Works every time. Try some of the other ghetto-fantastic "work-arounds" such as coat hanger antenna, clear plastic driver's side window, or walkman taped to the dash! :ylsuper Guaranteed to leave a little extra cash in your pocket to spend on your, um,...hmm, something other than your car.
Where do you live? Which state? If your anywhere near the midwest there is a salvage yard just outside of St. Louis (Missouri side) that has S13's and 14's. They mail out parts all the time...let me know, I'll hunt down their number. What year is your 240?
