:inout: Hi folks ever since I got my beloved 08 R51 water has pored down both front pillars and I heard it was probably the sunroof drain tubes so I poured a small amount of water down both and it is as if they are not even connected. There is a small amount that comes out via the format wheels but most comes out inside the a pillers and soaks everything. I do have a car port so have put off investigating until now. Just wondering if any of yous have dropped the roof lining before as there seems to be airbags everywhere and have yous ever heard of the fronts becoming detached or broken before?
Thanks Any help is appreciated

Sounds like they're clogged and just overflowing the pan, generally water from that will come down inside the A-pillars. If you don't have compressed air, try snaking some edge-trimmer line down the tubes to clean them out. It's remotely possible that both hoses are off the nipples beneath the headliner, but very unlikely. One side yes, but not both. Chances are they're simply clogged.

I poured water down them though and no water backed up into the tray but instantly came out the headliners. Thanks for your fast reply

If the hoses are off the nipples, the front portion of the headliner will need to drop. Generically, to do that the sunvisors, roof console, A-pillar trim and any front grab-handles have to come off and the door gaskets need to be peeled halfway down. If you don't want to risk crinkles in the headliner then the upper B-pillar trim should also come off. Once that's all removed then the headliner should just be hanging on velcros. Those can be stubborn, but just pull it down firmly.
