Sunroof control dilema...

Hey guys, the sunroof on my 93 J is currently not working.

About a year ago, the control area got wet. I blew out the drain tubes for the sunroof, and it never got wet again. However, I also never got to use it again

When I hit the control, nothing happens.

Checked the fuse...

What's next?

had that problem not too long ago, check the contacts on the switches.....

take the sunroof control/map lights unit out...... unplug the wires (3 sets i believe), the switches boards will be visible, carefully and very slowly bend out the 4 metal lips holding the board to the switch assy. , clean the contacts with a clean cloth (i used a very fine sand-paper as well to insure proper functioning), clean the contact side too..... put everything back.

that did the trick for me, and i never had a problem with them since.....

Use wd40 on contacts and connections , switches, battery posts. My alternator quit. The J30 has sat for a long time. Before I replace it Iwill try to spray some wd40 on the brushes and connectors. If it don't come back to life then I will pul out the alternator.
