i finally got a short video of my car. it was me vs the camera (scion tC) and my friends GTI vr6. it shows you how fast mid 13 car is compared to a mid 15 second car =) ENJOY!

yeah i live in sacramento =) yes thats on a 12:1 fmu. im guessing im making around 240 at the wheels. my friend put out 220 on his SR and i beat him by 5 car lengths (35mph roll to 100mph)

i feel your pain.

what are you gonna do about it?

i'm not sure if i just want to get a new motor and start over or if i want to try to salvage the blown one. i'm not really sure of the extent of damage i did to mine, so i don't know if i can rebuild or not.

it's a tough situation because i don't really have all of the tools to snag the block out and tear it down. i'd like too though. people have mentioned renting cherry pickers and what not..but i'm not sure.

sure was fun though at 13psi.

maybe i'll just buy a scooter to get around town for the time being and save up like 3000 bucks to do it all over

i gotta save up about 2k for complete engine rebuild. wiseco pistons, crower rods, cosmetic headgasket, toga main bearings and rod bearings, act street clutch, 550cc injectors... the list goes on... =)

9psi is a little over the limit of the stock MAF.. no wonder your rings/pistons gave out.

rseabrooke is running 10psi no problem. 9psi isnt the limit of stock maf.

I am running 10psi on stock maf.... Might have been the FMU

with the 12:1 fmu, fuel shouldnt have been a problem

Nope it wasn`t the FMU and I ran 10psi. My guess was the heat and crapy 91 octain. I keep forgetting you guys have 91pump gas:(

CALIFORNIA SUCKS! them and their stupid CARB EO numbers on everything! crappy gas also! $3.15 a gallon for 91 octane!
