Myself, and 2 other track enthused memebers of ths board are trying to gauge intrest in a summer track weekend. It will not be for 240 only and not organized by myself, but more of a bunch of us signng up for an event and overtaking it .

There are many track up and down the east coast and in the midwest. The one we have semi agreed on is in teh south and bit of a trip for myseld and ted, but its local to all of use beign from NC, MD and OK.

Barber Motorsports Park, AL http://www.barbermotorsports.com/

If anyone is intereested in doing an event come June, July or August. We will potentially be going with NASA or BMWCCA. Let us know of any better locations or if your just interested so i can know to let this post die or stay updated as plans get closer.

I would be interested --although June is a rough month for me. Long tow --so I will need time off, but can visit a few people I know along the way. If you are asking for Date preferences -I would prefer July or Aug --as I am already committed to the BMWCCA event next June at Watkins Glen.

If you want to get a group rate at Watkins Glen next June --I can arrange that --as I am the Chief steward for Patroon BMWCCA. 240's and any Nissan are welcome

there is nothing definite yet because registration for event usually doesnt open until a few months before hand. Watkins glen is a bit far for the other guys I plan to do the event with, but i will keep that in mind for next year as well...how many people qualifies as a group?

91rs13 count me in, i *HAVE* to run the glen next year, and as of right now i wont be able to make either NASA session

id love to run Barber but i dont have a tow vehicle yet and i really dont think id like to risk a weekend at a track a thousand and change miles from home, as well as driving the round trip in it

if someone has a two car trailer theyd be willing to rent a spot on i might consider it

However many we can come up with. Since Nissan does not have a network of clubs with track days ( like PCA, BMWCCA etc) --I just want to make events available to people (sharing my addiction) We have a tentative date for next June, but have not figured out rates yet --but I can work in a discount for say --5 or more? higher discount for more cars ---or if we get enough showing up I can set aside some paddock space for all the Nissans to gather together. (Instructors get the garages)

---Anyone can join BMWCCA and come even if we do not get a group interested ( not all chapters allow non BMW's--most do)

Nismofly --keep an eye on http://www.patroonbmw.org as soon as we get firm dates for WGI and Lime Rock Park --they will be posted. We may look into another event as well --although we team up with NY Chapter BMWCCA for events too.

Audi just published part of their '07 track schedule, here a peak at the ones I'm looking at..

Spring VIR: 4/23-24 (mon-Tues) Watkins Glen 4/25-26 (mid week)Marque Madness at VIR (Mercedes Club+ BMWCCA+Audi) 6/14-15Lime Rock June 6-7Mid Ohio July 6th Watkins Glen Aug 27-28Mont Tremblanc 9/29-30Fall VIR 11/17-18

I know I'm doing the Spring and Fall VIR's., The VW R-32 Club might try to get VIR rented the day after Audi's Fall VIR, which would be 3 straight days of track time there.

If Audi doesn't do Summit Point in October this year, I might substitute Mont Tremblanc. I'm also considering Lime Rock in June.

Decisions decisions.

If this is still on and a date finalized, please send the details to [email protected] and maybe the coupe will be set to rest and the hatch ready to ride.

a few of us might be looking to hit up Gingerman, if we could get enough ppl goin maybe we can cut deal with them. If not that their open track days are inexpenisve so we could just pick a date and maybe all meet up there.

Sometime in May, would that be a possibility?

Very interested in a track day, but Barber is really a haul for me. If you are doing anything closer, say VIR, I would be in.

I leave for VIR Sunday morning. VIR events always sells out quickly. If you're interested in the fall VIR Audi event, I post when registration opens.

Yeah, Living in MD, I tend to plan around VIR and Summit Point.

I'd be going to the nasa events but funding for HPDE seems to be a an issue for un-employed college students. /shrug
