Im trying to figure out the issues with car this is the first summer its been through since ive owned the car and rebuilt the engine over the winter it ran great BTW. However now its starting to run rich the hotter it gets the richer it runs and the worse the idle gets, at least thats how it seems. I replaced the plugs in April when it starts getting warm here and it stopped but now that its hot as hell outside its started again. Any ideas? and any cheap tricks on keeping the car cool? Here is a pic of my crispy plugs I just pulled out tonight.

while I was on here I took a read at the "AIV Repair/Removal sticky?" post and noticed that the only hose I plugged was the exhaust and not any of the other smaller hoes does anyone think this could be the cause or unrelated? Either way im going to plug them up but just giving some more info that I though might be relevant.

holy **** your running real rich.

definately plug up all those holes, one of them is a vacuum line which means it runs to the intake.

have you checked the O2 sensor, might be clogged/old.

the 02 sensor cant be more then 10 months old i think seeing as the car was up and running in sept of last year and it was replaced at some point after . . . . as far as the lines i plugged up the shunt on air filter from the AIV and the exhaust tube is using the 2 nickels method and the 2 small lines that go to the sensor are still plugged in I just left them there. . . should I pull them off and plug them or are they good on the sensor since its not connected anymore? BTW I put in new plugs this morning and its still cutting out . . . i noticed it responds better when I mash the gas but at idle it still cuts out at ever other couple of stops

Okay well the other day I was thinking it was the timing but now Im almost sure that there is a bad electrical connection somewhere under the hood. Just on the odd hunch I started randomly spraying electric parts cleaner on anything electronic as far as connections. The next day I drove the car and it didnt give me an bad idle at all and ran better even though not at its best, probably because the plugs got fouled again. Anyone have any idea what I need to get at and clean up or replace? Im thinking about going through every connection and clean it and wrap it in lbs of black tape so that it doesnt get dirty again, but I have no idea where to start. Any hints?
