I'm looking to buy new rims and tires, preferably black. Besides Cragar soft 8's what would be some other options? Does anyone know what the user Empty V has? As for tires I'm considering 255 70 16 Nitto terra grapplers. Really looking for something aggressive looking but still all-terrain. Any suggestions are welcome!

I work at discount tire and speaking from experience in terms of an all terrain tire you really cant get any better than BFG AT's. They will last you longer cause they have a little harder rubber compound and they balance out and wear alot more even due to that as well. I have had two sets of at's on my truck both in a 33 and my current 35's and they are a great all around tire....not too loud on the road still ride good only downside is that they are not that great in real soupy mud but then again im used to a mud terrain when it comes to that kinda stuff.

I do like the BFG's. i've also been interested in the wrangler duratecs now but not sure if they produce a size that will fit a stock pathy. If stock is 255 65 17 could I run 245 70 16? I guess I don't understand metric tire
sizing to well.. Stock computes out to 29.xx and the 245's compute out to 30.5".

Have to agree 100% with Andrew (didnt know u worked for Discount), been a customer since 96! I am on my second set on my other SUV. Had 32x11.50r15 now running 33x12.50r15. The tires are not as aggressive looking as a Terra Grappler but they will last longer and they are great in all conditions except mud as Andrew said. Been running some Pro Comp Xterrains on Pro Black Rock Crawlers only because the DC-1 Polished wheels on the BFG's do not like winter/salt etc. The Pro Comps look incredible but are loud and nowhere near as good in heavy rain. I have nothing negative to say about the BFG's aside from the cost has gone up considerably but most tires have. Without a lift you are going to be limited in sizes. If you are going to use these tires in winter the BFG's also have the winter mountain logo on them. Drove them a few times in the winter and they were Good. And they were ordered and installed by Discount twice.
