I don't know a whole lot about turbo's. I have a 91 240sx and want to have a 350hp daily driver, that is going to last. I have a buddy that owns a shop and can do all the install at minimal cost. Is the best route going sr20 and upgrade the turbo? Or putting a good kit on the KA? Any information would be greatly appricated. Also if anyone would be so kind as to give me a "dummy" breakdown of how a turbo works, and I see all these t2, t3, t28 turbo's etc.... what excatly does that mean. I've read some post's, and dunno wth they are talking about, any info any of you can provide, would be awesome. thx

A durable long lasting DE-T should begin with forged internals. The T denotes Garrett turbo's size/flange type. The best turbo for your power level will be a T3/T04E hybrid which is a T3 turbine with a T04E compressor. GT series are even better but expensive.

Both motors will require injector upgrades, tuning a front mount intercooler, an upgraded fuel pump and a Z32 MAF. There is a good write up from ka-t.org. Search a bit.

Get forged rods and pistons. a nice t3/t4. Quality parts. An ECU tune. And don't miss a gear
