So I purchased an eBay special set of projector headlights (Eagle Eyes). They came with H7 bulbs in the projectors. I want to swap them out for a bulb that I can also buy in H11 size so that they match my fog lights and I dont have the white/pee yellow thing going on. I want color to be 4K to 5K, preferably as close to pure white as possible, no blue, no purple, no yeller.
In speaking with our very own retro Guru Dangeris, he mentioned NOT to use an HID kit since the optics will bounce the light around differently and essentially cook off the reflector bowl in my subpar quality eBay projector, even though the HID technically burns cooler than a halogen. I know, you get what you pay for.
So, who has had good experiences with what bulbs in a non-HID projector set-up? Searching a few other places turns up the new PIAA lines, but I also got a few hits from Sylvania? I dont need the best but Id also like to swap all bulbs and be done with it.
Thanks for any input.
