Hi folks, How did you go about mounting your amp, etc into your S13 coupe trunk? I'd like to mount it to the back of the back seat(so I can still fold it down if necc). I planned to use a piece of 1/4" plexi-glass as a mounting material. Is the seat backing strong enough to hold two mid-sized amps? (I doubt it's made of wood, correct?). There's no sub box back there yet, so I can't mount it to that. Just fishing for some ideas.

Thanks,Jamie

the back of the seat is strong enough for the amps, its a stamped metal i mounted my amp to the seat with self taping screws and hid all the wires under the carpet

Oh cool, thanks. Did you run the wires so you can still fold the seat down? I was going to make a mounting plate out of some spare plexi-glass I have here, but sounds like I don't have too. :cool Instead I think I might make a clear protective cover for the amps, just so I can still safely use my trunk. BTW where did you mount your ground wire to?

another cool place to do it is the spot for the spare tire. Just leave no wire uncovered. Your gas tank and gas fumes don't like electricity.

I was thinking about upside down under the rear deck, to keep them out of the way when/if I get one that won't fit under the seats. Trunk space is precious in an S13.
