I'm looking to replace the Bose garbage in my front door panels. Any suggestions for 4" speakers? I have a sub, so what I'm going for is sensitivity and natural mids/highs.

Obviously the Kappa and JBL Powers would be the best choice. For sub-$100 I would go with something like the JBL GTO or Boston Acoustics.

You could try ebay as well for higher-end dedicated mids like MB Quart.http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-MB-QUA...wItem

ebay the Infinitys. Good bang for the buck, and they're durable.

I offer no suggestions for 4" speakers.

I will suggest that you make an adapter plate to allow for the mounting of 6.5" speakers in the front.

Just to let you know, you won't find any 4" speakers that actually fit into the Bose pods. Thye're all too deep

Plates will fit fine.

But, Brien's right - gut the housings and go with some 6.5" components - same $$$, more sound.

Blaupunkt does not necessarily suck, but they are a nich-market player and there are far better HU's out there for the money.

Focal does make some nice seperates.
