Sup guys, bought some misc. parts for my Ca and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what to finish it off with? I've got...- new gaskets all around- Ca16 cam- 3" mandrel exhaust, no cat- Ultra turbo timer- HKS F-Con with the fuel cut defencer- HKS filter- Thermostat- Water pump- Blitz BOV- Timing Belt- Spec stage 4 clutch LOL (They sent me the 4 instead of the 3 ;) , but we'll see how that works out.

What I'd still like to get...

- Bigger injectors - what kind?- FMIC - waiting till i get my new bumper for that- Electric fans (dual)- Iridium plugs - where do I get em?- Still gotta get my flywheel turned- Z32 MAF- T28 (Me and my dad are going to build an exhaust mani for it :ylsuper )

So can you guys think of anything I should still get? Any advice would be awesome. I want this car to someday have 280-300 horse.

BTW do you guys think a Nismo short shifter for an R33 RB25 would fit my CA transmission? Cuz I bought one LOL. It was a good price...

Don't bother with a T28, go for something a bit more adventurious! :D

What would you consider to be more adventurous? I basically have endless options because I'm building the manifold, I just wanna keep the cost down to a minimum.

How about a GT2530 or go old skool and go for a T3/4 hybrid, laggy but FUN, I loved the brutal power delivery and cheap compared to a roller bearing unit and it also can be reconditioned if it fails unlike a RB unit. :D

I'll look into that... Thanks for the suggestionsBut you got any ideas on the injectors (size?)

for your goals, 550cc/min. you can get denso, hks, bosch, nismo, or any top feed high impedance (i swear to god its low guys...) injectors. id go with the t3/t4 hybrid, you can get bb units cheap as hell, my friend picked up a new bb 63 trim turbonetics slug for 450 bucks. good luck.

So do the ca16 cams really do nothing? And I heard the injectors were low impedance?

The CA16 intake cam will do a little from what I have read. But the exhaust cam will do nothing since it is the same. The injectors are 2 ohm I believe. Not sure if that is high or low.

and youll need top feed low impedance injectors. people mislead me on what they were (i was right to begin with!).

Cool, good stuff to know. Also, do you guys run iridium plugs, and where would you get em?

don't bother, NGK platnums work very well and are pretty cheap. Check the sticky in this forum for the PN.

I thought Iridiums were a step down from platinum but a step up from standard.

If you've got a turbo car run NGK BPR7s.. you'll need the colder plugs to help get away from detonation.

The CA16 cam won't do much though. The duration increase is so mild it's not really even worth the time it takes to do it.

The duration isn't what makes it make a difference either. It kicks up the lift .8mm And yes .8 isn't much but that with just a hair more duration is a good thing. When I was searching on this a while ago, it was decided that on a stock CA18DET the CA16DE intake cam was good for 7-12 HP. True 10 HP isn't much, but I am sure the difference only becomes more obvious as you mod the engine.

Of course someone using these cams probably isn't going to be doing a whole lot of modding or at least not be shooting for huge power numbers. But for a cheap easy solution, they DO make a difference.

The number for NGK platinums is PFR7-A and the normal NGK's is bcpr7es-11 but if your going to strap a T3/4 on the engine then BCR8's (theres no BCPR8's) I've seen a few reports stating that copper plugs are better suited to turbo engines unlike the platinum/iridium type and they are dirt cheap.

As for the CA16 cam I had one and it does give you a bit more torque, I was fairly happy with 282flbs @ 17psi. :)

It was a T3 with a .42 compressor and .48 exhaust.

Its a shame I never got it dyno'd with the T34 and greddy manifold on, I did have a run with the T34 and the peak power was at 7040rpm!

Now THATS what I'm talking about! That must be a blast to have it pull like that! Man I can't wait till I get my T28 on...
