i finally saved up money for a swap, but i don't know where to get my motor from? i know of heavythrottle, whipfactory, neishlinmotors(currently down), and venus-auto.

has anyone purchased from venus-auto? any suggestion on where to get a motor, along with a website or a phone number, would be great. Thanks guys.

btw, i recently found NICO...had my 240 for 3 years and post on FA. I'm not a bandwagon-er.

I'm one of the ones that had a bad experience with Venus. If you can pick up the motor, and compression test it before you buy it, then they're fine. I wouldn't order from them again.

A lot of people have had good experiences with Jarco in GA. jarcoinc.com

I have heard mixed things about venus so I suggest you buy from where that you can go, hear it run, check compression, and carry it home (no shipping). There should be just about a place in every state that sells these motors now.

when i make the purchase, ill let you all know where from.

I bought from Heavy Throttle and they rock... I've never seen one post that was negative about them or their motors. If it ain't right, you don't have to worry about them taking care of it because they have outstanding customer service. And a couple of other things I will tell you about them. THEY ANSWER THE PHONE and RETURN THEIR MESSAGES. Unbelievable huh? They actually return phone calls when you are awaiting a callback. Not many shops will actually call you back. They place the owness on you.

[removed] is a good shop, they have about the cleanest motor's I've ever seen. The only problem is they are out of stock for like another 2 weeks.

I also recomend Enjuku Racing, they have a few motor sets in stock.

I'd give either of those places a try, their hands down the best in the business IMHO.

Just south of Atlanta Ga. ph number is [removed] That's [removed] (the owner) cellphone. Talked to him yesterday and I guess the container is supose to be here on the 15th. He useually takes a couple days to run test all the motor's in the clip and compression test them... so figure it might be a little after that before he ships it, but like I said it will be cherry when it gets to you.

he dosn't have a website up yet, it's all word of mouth. But I don't think you can find a member on this or any other board who has been screwed over by them, which is more than we can say for some other vendors.
