I plan on having a modded (not heavily) s13 and use it as a DD, but I also plan on taking it to the track at times. What's a good suspension I can use? Not too expensive I hope.

When you say track...do you mean occasional circuit racing? Or drag-racing? Autocrossing? Drifting? Either way, the key word you mentioned is that it's a daily driver, and on a daily driver that is going to see occasional hard-driving--- going with coilovers is overkill. Especially if you live in an area where the roads are rough/poorly maintained. Please check out Chet's (Exar-kun) *stickied* suspension FAQ at the top of this forum. Lots of info in there. IMO, I recommend a good spring/shock setup, either using Koni's or AGX's and replace things such as the tension rods (i'm 95% sure that your t/c rod bushing are shot), and do upgrades like strut bars, sway bars and replace the bushing and key parts that look worn (like the front ball joints, upper strut mounts, etc).

Many options you can go, spring/shock combo, coilovers(many decent entry level: megan, d2, ksport, etc.) Strut Bars, sways(lots of different companies) Good set of tires. Soo much stuff you can do to your suspension of the 240.

I would prefer universal ones where you could adjust the stiffness for what your doing. I plan on just running circuits, no drag racing... don't plan on making a power house, and occassional drifting when cash permits on more tires! Ni2s4s0aSnX, thanks for looking the info, ill look into it. I would want to spend less than 1k for a set, that's absolute max. I just need something better than stock where I can do all that I listed and still good quality.

$1k for struts/shock//coilover or $1k TOTAL?

If your going $1k total. AGX struts (adjustable) with either Tein S.Techs (softer) or RSR's (stiffer) and then Suspension Technique F/R sway bars. That will be around $1k and will get you a MUCH better ride than stock.

Struts/springs with sway bars are the first upgrades I did and its uncomparably better than stock. Those two changes will probably show the most improvement. After that, spend a couple hundred here and there to continually upgrade. Oh, and don't forget tires.
