Hey folks,

Been a loooooong time since I've been on the board. My V has been completely solid since my rattle issue when I first got it, but its time to move on. I'm looking for advice on pricing it for private sale. The prices I see on AutoTrader for my area (eastern PA) are very high and mostly dealer lots.

The good:
My V is a blue 2008 S hatchback with the power package (power windows, mirrors, keyless entry and alarm)and 6 speed manual transmission. I have all 4 hubcaps and it looks great inside and out - I'm waiting to get it detailed before posting pictures.

The bad:
I'm currently at 78k miles which is high for an `08.
My lighter/power socket has current going to it, but none of the the devices I try in it get power - weird issue that I haven't pressed with the dealer but will fix before sale.
I was rear-ended this past winter and the repair shop put in a new bumper, did a great job with the paint. I have a warranty on that work for the life of the car.

What are your thoughts?

kbb.com says you should be able to get between $8800 for excellent condition through $7000 for fair condition. NADA says you should get $8200.

I'm sure it can vary by market but I recently traded in my 2009 S HB with 25k on it. It was a bare bones HB and had been in 3 minor accidents all professionally repaired. I got $9,700 for it on a trade from a dealer.

I just bought my 2007 SL for $6700. I'd say that 78k miles is not very high at all. Mine has 150k. I'm in the Nashville area.
