Suggest a Bicycle Rack for the Versa HB

I'm getting a mountain bike and I'm looking for a decent bike rack for the Versa HB... any suggestions?

I'm hoping for something easy to put on/ take off that won't damage the car - either from the bikes or the rack itself. I've had bad experiences in the past on my Hyundai.

I got a trailer hitch installed on my Versa SL HB. Then I bought a Swagman bicycle carrier which can have a multitude of arrangements.

I prefer a rear mounting cycle rack to a rooftop mount. As I'm short & old, I can't get a bike onto the roof.

You can also use the bike rack on other cars as long as they have a trailer hitch. I have a second car with a trailer hitch, so I can move the rack between vehicles.

I bought it for my Subie Loyale... since then I've used it on my mom's Forester, Tracy's Scion xA, the Camel, my Sidekick... Very versatile... and if you change cars, you don't have to then wonder again how to transport your bike... plus it's good if you want to take your bike but someone else is driving...

That's the forum post you made, I hate to drudge up an old topic, but any reports on how that worked out for you? I'm at my wit's end having to throw my road bike about in the back of my car and not being able to have additional seating just because I have a damn spoiler. You're one of the only people that posted, and the saris bones rack was the one I was looking at. Did you have a good long term experience and no damage? Hope to hear back! We ride multiple times a week, and I'm really itching for a rack. I actually bought the saris bones before and all of the doom and gloom about the spoiler scared me out of using it even once.
