Hello there guys ,

Yesterday , when i try to turn on the lights , pop-ups doesn't popped-up and only right headlight gets on when they are down . i lift the pop-ups with using long-range lights and they stay up . but if i close all lights and open them again they don't lift up.

Basicly : (chronologically)

- Normal lights - Pop-ups doesn't move(stay down) - only right headlight is on
- normal light switched on + Long lights - Pop-ups lift up and stays up - only right headlight works long and short - left headlight not works
- normal lights - pop ups stays up - only right headlight is on
- normal lights switched off , pop ups comes down normally .

Another point :

when all lights are of , i open long lights and hold it with , pop-ups comes up and down again and again endlessly.

i don't understand why together left headlight is gone and pop-ups doesn't get up . also left long range lights are doesn't work too..

i hope i explained it well

i will record a video tomorrow

any suggestions ?

Check all fuses first. Also verify headlamp bulbs are both good for both dip(short) and main(long). There are 4 fuses total. Two fuses are in the under hood junction block both 15A. Two are in the passenger compartment fuse box one 15A one 5A. Also, does the over ride switch work to raise and lower the headlamp doors? How familiar are you with a multi-meter? It would be helpful to know how to use this tool.

override switch works well hudy , i checked all fuses , they all seems good and normal. Left headlight still doesn't work maybe bulb problem its OK

but what about headlamp doors . i cleaned contacts on headlight switch at steering colomn still no response. checked the wiring it is also good .

Relays under airfilter are normally when i press override switch , but when i open lights i think less relays are operating but i'm not sure about that .

is there any fuse or relay between lamb switch and HL RET Control relays ?

Different relays are applied/released during different ways of opening the lamp doors. The lamp logic module decides which relays activate/release when certain combos of power/ground are applied to it. Gar, getting tired but I might try swapping 2 of the relays. Specifically relay 3 with 1 or 2. Also does the grey/mixed type relay energize when turning lamps from 1 "park" to 2 "dip/short"?

It appears that relay 3 is used for lowering doors. Relays 1 and 2 are used for grounding headlamps. Relays 1, 2, and 3 should all be a black type relay. Relay 4 is used for raising and lowering and should be gray. I would think that relay 4 is functioning since they work with flash to pass operation. Relay 4 should also remain energized after doors are up and lights are on unless using flash to pass to turn them on. If relays are functioning and power to modules and grounds are good. Then that leaves the headlamp timer module. I wouldn't jump to replacing any expensive pieces until I checked all power and ground circuits. While using an ohm meter to check continuity works it doesn't check the circuit loaded. A voltage drop check is recommended to overcome that deficiency. If you haven't already look for the FSM on this website to find schematics for the headlamp system.

Good luck

Did you check the switch? The combination switch in these cars fails about 99% of the time. Start with replacing the switch! It WILL make your lights not turn on, your turn signals light up when they're not used, etc.
