Sudden Pop-up lights failure .

Hello there guys ,

Yesterday , when i try to turn on the lights , pop-ups doesn't popped-up and only right headlight gets on when they are down . i lift the pop-ups with using long-range lights and they stay up . but if i close all lights and open them again they don't lift up.

Basicly : (chronologically)

- Normal lights - Pop-ups doesn't move(stay down) - only right headlight is on
- normal light switched on + Long lights - Pop-ups lift up and stays up - only right headlight works long and short - left headlight not works
- normal lights - pop ups stays up - only right headlight is on
- normal lights switched off , pop ups comes down normally .

Another point :

when all lights are of , i open long lights and hold it with , pop-ups comes up and down again and again endlessly.


i don't understand why together left headlight is gone and pop-ups doesn't get up . also left long range lights are doesn't work too..

i hope i explained it well

i will record a video tomorrow

any suggestions ?

Change out the headlamp relays with known good working relays and see if it still doesn't work.

Mine went bad during the year that that my car was off the street getting the ca18 put in.

i will check out the relays , but i m not sure which of them is pop-ups relay

They're in the front corner of the engine bay, near the air filter. I think it reads "Headlamp Retract" or something like that.

but why pop-ups work with long-range lights , but not with short-range lights?

I don't know, mine did the same thing but I switched the relay and haven't had a problem since.

ive always battled the issue where one of my headlights wont go back down and everything else works fine. its been an off and on problem since i ought the car in 2004. never figured out what it was.
lately, ive just kept both headlights up.

i think i know your problem , if you are sure on relays , just check a little brown connector that attached to light control switch on steering colomn . or try to check headlight timer .


by the way , my problem is still on , i tried wverything today . but no answer


Edit : oh s#!t i didn't checked headlight timer

Edit 2: checked now , it seems good , no change
