Hey everyone , just wanted to see peoples opinion on this...... Every once in a while in high boost I will get a quick abrupt cut-out. Like a hiccup. sometimes its only once, then it keeps pulling, or it does it 3-4 times then its time to shift. After every time it "hiccups" theres a puff of black smoke, then its clean again. I was wondering if the suction pipe sucking closed could cause this? I can close the hose about an inch from the turbo with my hand pretty easy. Or is this a slight boost leak. Im running the ARC smic made for the SR20 so it has the factory BOV and I made a Recir. hose for it. which works good , I guess I need to take off the boost controller and plug the port for the BOV at the Intercooler to rule those two things out....

any help is appriciated thanks -Jake

There should be a metal spring inside the hose to keep it from collapsing. If you don't have the spring, then yes, it will collapse.

Either that or use a high quality silicone hose.
