Thats what we call it when you have a couple of hard packed inches of snow on the road and then it warms up and rains on it.

The road breaks through and you have a real test on your hands.

Well the Versa passed. I made it up and down the forest service road and our driveway several times. I have studded tires and I think I would have had trouble without them. I could feel the tires looking for a grip a couple of times and slid sideways( a couple of inches) when the slop was over 4 inches deep. I need to be in second gear First is just too low and third loses its gusto. This is a 10 degree hill.

Everyone else had to be in four wheel drive. I have not hit all the snow variables that I would see in a season. I am very happy with my Versa in the snow. ( 6 speed manual)

Spectacular!

Never heard it referred to that way before, but it sounds like something I don't wanna drive in!

It's fun to drive in. But when you get home and look at the sides of your car after the dirty, petroleum-soaked slush has melted off, you feel like shooting yourself.

It is fun to drive in, as long as you don't meet someone on the hill, or someone who has no clue on how to drive in the winter.

The mess on the side of the car is something you live with.
