Yeah, his first name was Felix.
He was German.

I've never seen a rotary swapped into a 240. Closest I think I've seen was a rotary swap into a Miata.

I've heard talk of it, but never seen one in person, or even in pictures. Should be a fun project.

I've seen it done on both S13 and S14. It's neat.

ive seen rotary in miatas, vans and trucks. but the more i do research into the more i find out how expensive it is going to be, so i might buy the engine and save it for another project or just save it untill i have to money to do it. thanks to all of you.

Hello all.
Well, the commercial success of the wankel belongs obviously to Mazda of which the Miata belongs to. So the Miata, in case you did not know came with the rotary engine at the start.
But putting a rotary in a Nissan, not only seems illogical but a sin. Rotaries are known to be gas guzzlers, and if you want to do something radical, I would go with a v8 like some mods around. Personally I like them dressed the way they came. A perfect car. Here is one.....

i want to do a V8 swap but its too common, i want something that is odd and pisses people off, here is an awesome v8 swap, bob-s-2014-sr-to-ls-drift-build-t585258.html. he pretty much did exactly what i dream to do but for my first swap i want something really different

:wtf2:
No it didn't. It came with a 1.6 liter Dual Over Head Cam 4 banger.

There were multiple "concept" miatas (some with rotaries) before the final version was decided upon and launched, but there has never been a production miata with a rotary.

I love listening people talk about crazy swaps and complaining about being "unique" or something being "too common"..

You drive an S Chassis... nothing about your car is original or unique. Everything and anything you could think of has been done before.

thats true but there are just things that are less common, whats the point in following what everyone else with a swap does and get a front end conversion and drop a v8 in it. because obviously (badbob) its been done before. like i said i just want something unique im not saying its completely original but its not a v8 and its not stock.

I've done the "do it for the sake of being different" stuff. Its over-rated. Build the car for the end result, and then choose the best path to get you there. There's a reason some builds are more common than others... its because they are better.

I mean, if you know rotaries inside and out, and love to work on them, and have 6 sitting out back that just need a home, then go for it.

well i know a bit about rotaries, and my best friend is an rx7 fiend, total 1st gen, 13b and 12a nut and he has awesome deals on rotaries, and he knows a bunch about em, idk. I am just on an everlasting quest to make my hatch just a little bit different than even the crazy ones you see out there. i just want something that is my own
