It was a 2004-2008 Maxima and it cut me off so I went around it and accelerated very quickly... well it accelerated quickly too but it couldn't keep up by any means. They have less power and they're heavier - well after a few minutes I was over it - so I slowed down, and then it floored it and went super fast, and put its flashers on. HOW does this Maxima have the audacity to do that when it knows it was SLOW?

I was angry at the fact that it did that.

that sounds about right; i know when i was a punk teenager, when i used to get beat in my old maxima, when i'd get my feelings hurt i'd pull a "b****" stunt like that. you hurt his ego and the only way to retailiate against you is taunt you.don't give in cause you would just keep hurting his ego, and if you two kept at it, you would either get into an accident or get a ticket for reckless driving.

So why did you join the idiots game? So if it was so 'SLOW' how did it 'went super fast'?

I think you will find that most Maxima owners would not know a better car if it bit them in the a**. They just think they are fast because they are faster than the majority of cars out there. They don't care that front wheel drive sucks and rear wheel or AWD are the only way to go when you want to drive.

My suggestion - always ignore them and just know you can blow them away!

You probably made his day...he gets to tell all his friends that he "beat" a G but don't worry, even his friends are probably laughing at him for being so dumb.

When it comes to what amounts to street racing there is nothing that needs to be understood.

So has does a slow car go 'super fast'?

...what he is trying to say is that when he let off the gas, the "b****" that was driving the maxima, waited for him to slow back down so he could un-expectedly floor it right past him pulling a "b****" move and taunting him; the maxima would be going "super fast" respectively to the infiniti when he blew by him. do you understand now?

Fiveliterbeater, let me reword it:

Well, I was over driving fast with the Maxima (as it was obviously 3-4 car lengths behind me) so I just let off the accelerator and went about my drive.

Apparently the Maxima wasn't over it- it stepped on the accelerator and took off (my way of saying it went 'super fast'). That's when it decided to put its hazards on and "flash me," which is what I didn't understand.

----snwbrdr435: I'm talking normally aspirated, stock here though.

Just venting my frustration of how annoying people can be.

They were competing on the streets at greater than posted speed. There is nothing more that needs to be understood since this is the definition of street racing.

It takes two to tango and in this case one of the two gave up early which is good but probably should not have even went that far.

That's not true. When the speed limit was reached, that's when I stopped. I am a firm believer that speeding and driving recklessly is harmful to everyone. Maybe I need to be more specific so people (which obviously happened) don't get the wrong impression.

Easy does it.

'Well, I was over driving fast with the Maxima (as it was obviously 3-4 car lengths behind me)'

The fact that you appear to be competing means you were racing on the street which makes it reckless driving in most states (even if like you just stated above never above the speed limit). Of course you stated earlier you were driving fast with the Maxima. Maybe if you were not driving the Maxima it could have kept up (must be an electron to be in two places at the same time)..

So lets get this straight, the Maxima which is a fairly quick car could not keep up with the speed limit while driving fast.

So how much hp and how much does your 'G' weigh? If this was an 08 Maxima it is listed at 255 hp and weighs between 3579 and 3691 lbs.

If the car shifted it was not an 08.

I'm glad you used the words "most Maxima owners" because I drove a 2004 Maxima until 6 months ago when I wised up and bought my G. The torque steer was terrible. It was definitely a "quick" car but nothing compared to my G.

While I like FWD for snow over RWD and maybe a benefit for towing, I do like RWD (I have AWD). But the fact was this particular Maxima did all these crazy deeds without driver input.

IT must be an autonomous car because this Maxima had the audacity to do all of these things.

I think you boys took it a little far IMHO

Thahman.... I understand what you are trying to say! And I hate it when drivers do that... Most of the time it is $hit heads in TL's Civic's and integra's

I do love to beat TL's Especailly Type-S models lol

<----- I love this guy!
