One problem down.... one to go!
Took out the flimsy rubber intake piece today, looked inside, and there was NO coil in it. So, a buddy of mine had an AEM CAI from a Civic EX that he no longer is using so he gave it to me. 3 easy cuts with a dremel later, I had a custom hard pipe intake!
Super easy to make, and it works great. No more cutting out when I give it full throttle. The first time I took it to 6000 rpms, I was all smiles!
I took pics with my digicam on the process, so a "How-To" will be up shortly. I recommend this as an easy cosmetic upgrade over the stock rubber piece.
The only beef I have with it now, it due to some acoustic's in the pipe, it makes a warbling sound like a dying turkey between shifts. Kinda annoying, but I think a BOV will drown it out or help it a bit. Keep ya posted!
