ok so in a previous thread i made in here..i stated that i wanted to purchase 2 subwoofers for my stock bose system

i made the thread before i got the vehicle

now that i have the vehicle(technology pack) i noticed that the audio controls only have:

treble

bass

front/back speaker

left/right speakers

but no subwoofer leveling capabilities to change the output

so my question is...if i purchase an aftermarket sub for my stock bose system...what could i do to level the output of it?

since there isnt any subwoofer leveling option in the audio controls

thanks

You can use the controls on the amplifier to adjust the settings for the subwoofer. Also, if you are going to use a line-out converter, you should be able to make some basic adjustments on there. You will not be able to directly alter the subwoofer's settings from the head unit. You can increase overall bass, but I'm not sure what frequency range this boosts from the head unit.

My personal preference is to install two 10" subs and an amp in my trunk on top of my 9 speaker bose system.

Turn the bass down on factory nav to about 1/4 or off, and crank the amplifier for the subs up to handle the bass. This alleviates the bass from the bose system so it can produce better mids and highs while my subs take care of the bass.
