I acquired the sub-woofer with the Bose amplifier. My thinking is that I can tap into the pre-amplified signal to the rear speakers from the Bose head unit and route this signal to the sub-woofer amplifier along with a power and ground lead and I would get the proper sound. I would probably also run 'base blockers' on the Bose amplified rear speakers which I plan to replace with Infiniti Kappas (2-way or 3-way - any suggestions?).
Since I have a G20 Bose head unit with the in-dash single CD player, I removed the obtrusive/inconvenient trunk-mounted CD changer. But, I still have the wiring harness for that system in place. I thought if I could match the wiring up properly, I could use that to carry signal and power to the rear deck. I also got the wiring connectors and the sub-woofer cover panel which I have figured out how to install in my rear deck, although that won't be easy.
Whatcha think..................John
