Subscribing to threads?

I'm new on this forum, but I have been posting to others for many, many years...

I can't seem to find any way to subscribe to threads on this forum, unless I make a post to that particular thread and then check the "Notify me when a reply is posted" check box.

so, how does one subscribe to a thread that one wants to watch, but doesn't want to post in???

AFAIK, that feature is not available on this forum. We can suggest it to upper management.

when posting a reply, there's a box to check that reads "notify me when a reply is posted". it's located just under the preview/submit buttons and above the thread review area.

Yea, he knew that. He wants to follow certain treads without posting to them. Currently, there is no way of following a thread without posting something in the thread.

So, would it be acceptable forum etiquette to post to a thread with something like, "just posting, so i can subscribe to this thread"?????

A lot of people just reply with "Subscribed" so they can follow the thread.

I'm not sure if it's an option for us to ad that feature on the current software but I'll see what I can find out.
