Does your head unit allow you to switch the phase of the sub? Mine was like this for such a short time I can't remember if I had separate sub control or not with the Bose adapter.

Otherwise, I would double check your wiring out of the head unit, because it sounds like a phase issue (+- need to be swapped for the sub).

My Bose sub actually got louder when I replace my Bose head unit.

Are you talking abotu the factory sub running off of a after market unit? If so you need to feed the sub a low level input not a high level which it is seeing.

Yeah, you need to be a little more clear on your story! Did you just have the headunit installed? Are you talking about a OEM subwoofer?
