Let me start by saying i am a complete noob when it comes to subs and amps

i was looking to get one amp that can power 2 subs 12 or 15 inch

My first question is what are ohms and what is better to pick higher or lower

also if my amp rms is higher then my subs will they blow

also can i run 2 subs on a 4 channel amp with the connections bridged??

plz help me figure this out lol thanx alot in advance

Your best bet instead of blowing your whole budget on subs, is get a good set of subs, and an amp, then replace all your door speakers, and run those off an amp. Then you will have an even;ed out system, very loud and clear highs and mids, and deep & responsive bass, making a good sound quality system.

Welcome to NICO Forum. First thing - what is your budget? With that i can give you a recommendation for the amp. Amp can have more rms than the subwoofer. You have to tune the amp to match the rms on the subwoofer. It is best to run the subwoofer on Class D amp. More power, less heat, more efficient.

Below is a link to subwoofer configuration -

If you pick up
(2) Dual 4ohm sub - amp have to be either 1 or 4 ohms stable
(2) Dual 2ohm sub - amp have to be either 0.5, 2 or 4 ohms stable

I'd recommend getting some nice DVC 4-ohm subs and a 1-ohm stable amplifier.
