I'm goin to the strip this weekend, and after what happened last time (2.4 60' thanks to massive wheel hop) I decided to fix the problem. So I did the subframe washer fix. I used washers that were 1.5" and 1.375" inside diameter for the fix. The 1.375" washers go on the upper part of the bushing, and the larger washers go below. I had to use a damn dremel to cut the slots out of the washers to slip them around the bolt. That took me like an hour for 8 washers and about 30 of the damn cutting wheels cuz the break every 5 seconds. I didn't end up putting washers on the rear most bushing on the bottom half. I went out for the test drive. Yea, launched at 3500, no hop, just smooth wheel spin, hook, go.....second gear scratch is louder now. Got brave, launched at 4500 (aftermarket clutch, yes), same thing, hooked up at about 4K and off I went. Definetely worth the $12 I spent on the washers, and that was more washers than I needed (got 10 of each size). The ones I got were about the thickness of 3 CDs (sorry, never bothered to measure them). Put some anti-seize between them, and good to go. Oh yea, I stacked two on each side of the bushing, so I used 8 total on the front 2 bushings, and 4 total on the back.
