So I am attempting to make something similiar to the subframe tilt spacers that spl sells (different from the normal collars and spacers), ghetto style. Here are some pics of what I have so far.

text from spl's site to explain how the spacers work:Subframe bushing spacers are used to tune anti-squat by rotating the instant center of the rear suspension through rotating the subframe or moving the subframe relative to the center of gravity:

For maximum anti-squat (eg. drift), rotate the instant center up by installing spacers below front subframe bushing and above rear subframe bushings.

I plan on installing 1 or 2 more washers on each bushing to further rotate the subframe and compress the rubber bushings some more, and I may remove the single one pictured on bottom since it may defeat some of the transfer of the spacers, original thoughts was that it would help compress the rubber but I think thightening with the extra spacers in ther will work well enough, and spls' kit does not use anything on the opposite sides.

so this is supposed to make the car easier to 'tune' your drifting? aka. make it easier to drift your car?

It allows you to tune the squat effect and eliminate wheel hop, which can make it easier to drift.

so its like buying traction bars? (speaking from a honda point of view, where you buy a new front cross member, and it stiffens up the chassis/makes more clearance for the header, and eliminates wheel hop.)but this is for the rear, and all you need to do is put washers in?

(sorry for sounding like a newb but i am, and this is interesting to me )

Umm, i guess, im not at all familiar with honda parts. But it sounds similiar, it allows you to alter the vehicles traction by changing the way the subframe reacts when torque is applied. And yeah, all you gotta do is add some washers, the tops need to be slotted or else you have to drop the entire subframe.

Ill be testing them out at willow springs tomarrow. My intentions were not really to sell any, but I could probably make an extra set. All they are is steel washers with slots cut into the upper ones. You need a oxy/acet cutting torch or plasma cutter to make the slots, thats really the only work in "making" them.

they are similiar yes, could be used the same way as that. The way I am using them has more washers stacked on the lower front and upper rear(not balanced top and bottom) to slightly move the subframe.

Its actually a cheap version of these:

But depending on where and how many spacers you place, it can do the same as both items.
