For those of you who helped me a little over a month ago on my questions for my 1990 240sx sub frame, i just wanted you to see what i did. i finally finished flaming and chiseling all the old bushing out of the sub frame.
When i went to install my sub frame with the new bushing installed i noticed the washer doohickey was to small, the problem was I HAD ORDERED THE WRONG SUB FRAME Bushings they were for a 95-98. I was inpatient and did not want to return them after seeing what the real ones looked like:
kinda went eww when i found out you had to stack them like that, although the price was much cheaper.
these ones look much more presentable so i went and bought some huge 1 inch and something grade 8 washers. Used them to stack onto the stock washer doohickey: So now it smashes and holds them in there real good.i noticed a BIG difference in the rear end, from stops and some improved cornering. took on the free way 95 MpH and noticed no loud noises or vibrations coming from the rear end. very happy with this, but im still curious how those 89-93 stackable bushings would have come out compared to the 95-98 bushings
