About how many labor hours should it take a mechanic to replace subframe bushings? One of my subframe bushings has been torn, and something is grinding a hole in my gas tank very slowly.

I have an entire kit of polyurathane bushings , so I suppose I should have the mechanic replace all the bushings , instead of just the bad one?

On the bright side, this will present the a good opportunity to have my subframe connectors installed as well

Several hours to say the least. The old bushings are usually burned out and while the new ones are pressed in.

You could just spend $50 and get a set of the aluminum collars. Those elimate the bushings altogether and take just minutes to install.

I used the Energy subframe bushing inserts and they didn't do a thing. The collars eliminate all (up and down, side to side) play in the subframe mounts.

Can you use a bushing tool to remove/press front lower ball joints [big ones]?
