I recently picked up my first project car. It is a 95 nissan 240sx. it has a redtop, stage 3 clutch, 1 piece aluminum driveshaft, full 3" testpipes, and a welded diff. I have been fixing everything up, but i have encountered a problem in it. the right rear subframe bushing is squashed and completely dead. I dont know much about suspension, so i dont know which piece i need. Can anyone send me a link to what i need or help me out here. I can only find the subframe bushing insulator, the subframe collar, and subframe collar spacer.

What exactly do i need to fix this? thanks for any help

is it the aluminum "cup" or just the squishy rubber part? if its just the squishy Rubber part then buy a set of the Nismo Sub frame Bushings or Energy suspension Sub frame bushings OR the white line sub frame bushings. IMO youd be better off with those then the solid aluminum Collars (its a little harsher ride with the aluminum collars.)

I have had polyurethane, hard rubber, and steel.....My s14 had alot of slop(not as bad as the s13's)small axle hop issues , the rear subframe felt like it wanted to have a seizure when I launched it hard!!!! gts-t diff + old bushings = fail

My opinion is rubber for the street.....much smoother, absorbed alot of shock made a great difference.....

Polyurethane for street and strip....Not quite as smooth absorbed alot of shock at the cost of a harsher ride...Fair difference

Steel for track and strip only....Really harsh compared to others...absorbed everything but was insane in terms eliminating wheel hop/ wheel slop...

Hope that helps

RS*R D1 Spec Polyurethane Bushing Kit Nissan 240SX 89-94 Model: 77-N010 List: $218.99

Please Call for Best Pricing - 1-480-966-3040RS*R D1 Spec Polyurethane Bushing Kit Nissan 240SX 89-94

RS*R bushing have been specially formulated to drift spec in order to provide the driver with maximum car control, predictability, and response.

Suspension response from this kit drastically improves the cars performance and predictability over the factory rubber bushings especially considering that the vehicle is already 15 years old. Another benefit for the everyday street driver is the vibration dampening provided by these polyurethane bushing that can not be obtained with suspension points using spherical bearing links.

This D1 Spec kit replaces key components such as the front strut rod bushings, front and rear control arm bushings, and front and rear sway bar bushings, but RS-R felt that there should be more to this kit then to just improve these suspension components and took this kit to the next step. To supply the performance enthusiast with their high needs of drifting and road racing, RS-R felt the next step to improve the cars performance is to include polyurethane bushings that replaced the rack and pinion bushings, and rear subframe mount inserts. The rack and pinion bushings improve the response of the steering response from the steering wheel to the front tires. While the rear subframe inserts improves the response of the entire rear suspension by minimizing the play from the rear subframe.
