I was playing some rock and all of a sudden i noticed i had not bass coming from my sub. Then i stoped somewhere and turned the sterio up and still did not hear anything. I turned everything off and pushed down on the sub. Did not hear and crackeling or any such that would give me the impression that it blew. Could it just be disconnected??

found out what it was. My rca wire was dangling in the passenger floor board and i was not aware. My room mate kicked it and all of a sudden no sub. I cracked the dash open and hooked it back up and now everything is fine.

LOL

You are a NUT!!!

I can get some pix of mine for ya. I broke both my metal brackets that held my box in, so I temporarily have a single bungee cord holding it. The box literally flexes back-n-forth in the trunk now

Too much torque = too much for the brackets to handle the sub enclosure. They eventually broke, thus the box is bungee corded at the moment.

Uhhh, no....

Two metal "L" brackets that held my box down were snapped in half at the bend. Too much torque via the motor for the brackets to keep the box from wanting to move backward.

I'm confused. So are you talking about inertia? The box didn't move with the car and put too much pressure on the braket and snapped it?

Ok, like I said, inertia. AN object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion until acted upon by an outside force

The straps were too small for the weight of the box.
