So I find a 10" sub for my Vert., & now I need to make a box for it.I think I am smart & make a tappered box, & cut the hole, attach the amp, & wiggle it up under the lip in the trunk beside the top pump. Viola!!!!Until I put the top down, & there is not enough room for the top to collapse into the bag in the trunk area.

I assume lots of you have placed your sub in this area of the trunk.MY goal is to put a drop cover down from the lip in the trunk once the sub box is installed (like the german vert - no tv's though) to conceal the sub, & allow me to use most of my trunk for "stuff".

Wondering what dimensions (tappered/angled, or rectangular) you have to fit, & still allow the roof to go up & down !!!!

Probably no good way for sound and room to go together back there. Anything that will fit under the top 'pocket' won't sound good, if it will even fit at all. I just sacrificed trunk space.

I used this one from Infinity and while it worked it sounded great. I was still able to get a guitar and gig bag in the trunk but that was about it.

It went tits up after about a year, however, and I haven't replaced it yet.

I agree with the poster who said that any sub you put in the trunk will not sound good. The firewall that separates the trunk from the inside of the car will block sound coming into the car. Unless you ride wit your trunk open you will barely hear anything. I should know, I put a powered sub in the trunk with the same result. HTH

I only said one that would fit without sacrificing room would not really sound good.

I have a 12 in my trunk and hear it perfectly fine and not really turned up that much.

just build a custom ported box and have the ports vent through the rear seat firewall and into the cab..

I have not done it yet but i can vouch for the fact it sounded awsome in my Teg. Even better then crusin with the seat folded down which i what i did before i bult the box..

or just build a box inplace of the back seat i mean who needs that back seat anyway lol.

good luck and let us know what you end up going with and how it fits/works?
