Having a problem with my 89' SR 240. As I'm approaching a light, I push the clutch in and the RPM's drop to almost nothing. In-fact, it sometimes drops to 0 and kills, then starts itself back up, all in the matter of less than a second. I've noticed that about every 1/4 times this happens, the battery light flashes insanely quick.

Though, most of the time... the RPM's just drop. I'll pull up to a stop light, push the clutch it and they'll fluctuate between 200 and about 1500 or so. At the stop light, the car jumps up and down like a rabbit in-terms of RPM.

And, this only happens after the car has been running for a while. I've tried checking for vacuum leaks, but that seems to be pretty hard for me to do. I suck.

Meh, I'm taking it for a free diagnosis in about 3 hours. I'll repost what's wrong. I'm sure it's a vacuum leak, or some kind of pinch, but we'll see.

Do you have a atmospheric or recirculating BOV?
