ok as you may or may not know i have been painting my interior so the other day i removed my rear view mirror to paint in and there was a tiny screw in the back. so i took the screw out (hoping it somehow would remove the mirror for the holding thing) but insted the whole unit lost all its frictioni guess now the mirror jsut dangles freely and is of no use. i tried to put the srew in but it doesn't seem to have anywhere to go into i was jsut wondering if there was a trick to getting this in.thanks.

You insert it back in the same way you got it out? Use a magnetic screwdriver maybe?

you might need to hold the mirror in the same place it was in when you took it out. sounds like it might have movied (the thing that holds the mirror in place)

just get a new one from the junkyard. or get one of those broadway mirrors. My friend had it on his accord and its ok, u could see fairly well to the sides without looking to the side mirrors.

There's a nut on the backside - When you removed the screw, the nut fell off inside and now there's nothing for the screw to "grab" onto.

You'll have to disassemble the housing and replace the nut.

a broadway mirror wouldn't help anyway since all it does is snap onto the real mirror
