i have a 1995 240SX SE with an oem vlsd. sometimes when im teasing stupid civics or integras by powerbraking i realize that i sometimes peel out with one tire. why does it do that? both tires in the rear have the same amount of life on them. is my vlsd worn out? is there anything i can service on it to make it work how it used to? please help me and my silvias, the green one specially.

you need a "for sale" sign on them and that will solve the silvia's problems from where i stand.

OE VLSDs are hard to service. There's a unit in the inside called a viscous pack or carrier or something. That's what needs to be replaced when it starts loosing its locking abilities. You're generally better off replacing the unit with a new LSD given the price nissan will probably want for that part

75%of the time its just the fluid additives wearing out esp. if you are doing burnouts like you said, its a 15 min job to replace it and if you have never done so its prob a good time now anyways.

the viscous coupling unit inside the diff is a sealed unit, so while changing the diff oil is probably a good idea, it won't have much effect on the locking capabilities of the diff
